10:20 PM

my hair's getting soo long,
that my mom got me
a hair brush,
instead of a comb when my comb broke.
zzz.

well,
i went to the
Asia Paranormal Investigator's (API)
Spooky trail tour.
it was damn cool!
co-organized by RP,
i paid $15,
and lets say i got my 15 bux worth :)

went with afiq,
i think we reached there late,
supposed to be in RP at 9pm,
saw nobody there,
but luckily i spotted a full bus about to depart,
and hey,
it was the bus we were supposed to look for.
lol

supposed to go to 4 places,
all around Singapore.
first up,

Pasir Ris Mangrove Swamp

Location : Pasir Ris lah, where else?
Spook Factor : 8/10
Fun Factor : 4/10

The Story :

Supposedly, some people have been seeing a lady in white,
sitting on the benches in the middle of the night in this swamp.

The Skinny :

We were brought there,
and was made to walk in 2's through the mangrove,
and find the watch tower.
haha,
what spooked me was the total absence of light,
zzz
but it got better ah.
this place was not quite intersting,
cuz there was really nothing to experience except the darkess.
zzz.
next place,

Singapore's First Zoo

Location : Punggol(somewhere in the uncleared jungle)
Spook Factor : 4/10
Fun Factor : 6/10

any ex-BPians reading?
remember the time where we were going OBS in sec 3,
and the bus was driving to the OBS ferry pick up point?
that long windy road?
well,
there u have it.
it's located somwhere there.
the entrance?
u can only walk through this
insconpicuous path beside a electrical transformer.

The Story :

no spooky stuff here,
just ruins of the very first zoo in singapore,
it was a private zoo as compared to the Mandai Zoo.
ruins are still there.

The Skinny :

imagine,
in these pictures,
you are walking there in the middle of the night.
that's all.

the urn-like thingies were actually wall decorations in the zoo.
i thought they were really urns!

spot the pool,
or rather what's left of it.
all these pics were taken from the API website,
not what i saw exactly yesterday
(i went at night,mind you)
next up,

Bukit Brown Cemetary

Location : Dunno exactly where, but located near Macritchie Resevoir and Mediacorp.
Spook Factor : 7/10 (its a cemetary,why not?)
Fun Factor : 5/10

dint get pics of this place,
seems much more spooky at night.

The Story :

The first public cemetary in singapore,
with some of the oldest graves here,
some dating to 1840.

The Skinny :

When we first reached the so called 'backdoor'
there was a car there,
the guide joked that it could be a lover's car(you get it?)
indeed it was,
the couple must be terribly shocked to find 40 teenagers dropping off a bus,
right in front of their car,
and shining their torchlights innit.
i saw their bodies covered in towels XP
no time to get dressed huh?
heh

so yeah,
was supposed to go to this house,
where someone who maintains the graves live in,
so,
ulu.
no water,
electricty,
zzz
how they can live there,
i oso dunno.

nothing much to see,
as everything was,
dead.
aha,
next and final stop,

Mistery of the Marsiling Tunnel

Location : Marsiling (near inessa's place)
Spook factor : 3/10
Fun factor : 9/10

The Story :

Rumor has it that a secret tunnel built during the british times,
was located in Marsiling,
linking to Johor.
hmm,
seems interesting doesn't it?

an article on the tunnel.

check out this video.

The Skinny :

i had to climb a hill,
into the dense forest,
as it had rained in the afternoon,
needless to say,
the ground was soft,
and i keep getting my feet stuck.
zzz.
took us abt 30 mins to find the tunnel,
cuz we got lost too,
but it was super-duper-absolutely
COOL!
in actual fact,
the tunnel DID NOT lead to Johor,
but instead had gas and oil pipes innit,
cuz that area was supposedly a store point for oils and such for ships in the world war.
now it's owned by Shell.
in the video,
the cast went in the tunnel through the bottom entrance,
we went in the top entrance.
we could have walked through the tunnel,
but due to the rain,
it was all muddy and wet,so,
never get :(
would have been damn fun if we did.

at the end of the whole trip,
needless to say,
my jeans were all muddy knee down,
shoes,
well,
what do you expect?
and,
in the tunnel,
while trying to step over an obstacle,
my jeans tore,
yes,
my BEST pair.
zzz
sian.
all in all,
it was a worthwile trip and 15 bux well spent.
the bus dropped us off at civic centre,
at 230.
me and afiq thought of lepak-ing till the first train,
but we got too bored at 330,
when he decided to call his father to fetch us.
:)
totally washed up,
shagged,
then went to sleep.
